Remembering September 11th, 2001

Sunday, September 11, 2011

I remember where I was 10 years ago today. Im sure we all do. I had just gotten out of Art History class at the University of Central Florida and we were in our professor's office getting our test results when the first plane hit. His assistance had the radio on and we could hear the announcement but I remember thinking at first that it was some kind of weird accident. The way the radio was making it sound was as if a plane had just gone off course somehow. But then the second plane hit and everything went insane. Classes were cancelled, the shuttle buses to my apartment were packed, and everybody was walking around holding their cell phones in the air trying to catch any kind of signal to call their family members.

When I got back to my apartment, my roommates and I gathered around the TV watching the devastation over and over again and that night we went to church to pray for all of those who had lost their lives and for our country.

It's a day none of us will ever forget.  Never Forget.

There have been many commercials on TV today in remembrance of 9/11 but this was my favorite...

God Bless Us All!!!
