So... Im thinking about changing the name of the blog to something that better encompasses everything that I do instead of implying that this blog is only about photography or natural hair. Since writing Photographer ...Naturally, the blog has ended up taking a different spin than I had originally thought and I love it! I love writing this blog and all the different content in includes so I want the title of the blog to better reflect that.
I know there are consequences to a URL change. Most importantly all of the dead links that will occur from me linking up. But I was thinking it's better to do it soon while this blog is still young and the consequences are fewer. What do you guys think? Do you think I should go for it?
I, of course, could change the name of the blog without changing the URL but that might be misleading. I would take all the steps needed to make sure readers were directed to the new site but followers most likely wouldn't be affected. I need all of your opinions. What do you think?
This is a battle that I've been dealing with myself. I say go for it! Yes, there will be broken links and such... but nothing that can't be fixed. Then again, you could always start a second blog :)

ReplyDeleteI would change the name RIGHT NOW. I have been blogging for a few years under the same URL. I had it blocked to the public. I opened my blog just recently and I am "new" in the scene. I am glad I did it now than before I even build a big community, you do deal with a lot of dead links it seems.
