How do you detangle?!

I've heard so many different versions of the way you are supposed to detangle your hair. Some people soak their hair and saturate it with conditioner and others would never put a comb to soaking wet hair. Some never drag a comb through from root to tip...EVER. While others start at the tip and eventually work their way up to combing from root to tip.

I tend to detangle wet with conditioner. I go from tip to root and them comb through from root to tip once detangled but their is some shedding involved in that process.

So what do you do? How do you detangle your natural hair?

  2. My twin boys are mixed- and have a combination of my curly hair and their daddy's super super curly Nigerian hair. I actually JUST went through some detangling last night. I use Mixed Chicks products on their hair. I pretty much just loaded it with leave in conditioner and detangled with my fingers. However, there were a couple spots on the back of one of my boy's head that were completely dreaded. I had to just cut them off because there was NO way to untangle. I really wish my hair had as much curl as theirs!

  3. Yay! I get so excited when I meet other curly girls! I use Shea Moisture products and detangle after letting my hair air dry a little. I'm a new follower.
