Desktop Halloween

Wednesday, October 5, 2011

I decided to go very traditional with my decor for my desk since most of my own home decor was very non-traditional.  I put a couple of
projects together to come up with this simple little festive design.  I purchased the skull and the two pumpkins from the $1 store. I sprayed the skull and flatter pumpkin with metallic copper spray paint and and sprayed the taller pumpkin black. I then repainted the taller pumpkin with purple glitter paint. The candlestick idea came from a tutorial I found on Pinterest from I Heart Naptime. I bought three $1 store candlesticks, glued two of them together and spray painted them black. The other one, I sprayed black and topped it with a $1 store glass container and a black candle.

I downloaded this printable online at Craftily-Ever-After and then added a $1 store blackbird.

For my "EEK", I was inspired by this tutorial by Snowflakes and Dragonflies.  I made a mini version and it was my first time giving mod podge a try. My edges werent as straight as I wouldve liked but overall I think they came out pretty ok!

I had so much fun putting together this Halloween decor and I hope you enjoyed sharing it with me!

This is where I party.
