Christmas Scrappy Tutu

Monday, December 5, 2011

Angela of Love Sweet Love has made the absolute cutest scrap tutus for her beautiful little girl. She made one for Halloween and one for Thanksgiving and absolutely loved them!! I decided I wanted to give this a try for my little munchkin, and also stay in the holiday spirit, so I headed to the fabric store to find some cute holiday fabrics. Along with some cute Christmas prints, I also picked up some red tulle and gold mesh to add a little sparkle.

(There is no print on the red tulle, the other fabric is just showing through.)

...and then I went to work. Making this tutu was not hard but can I tell you, I hate tulle? I hate trying to cut it and how delicate it is when making the tutu. I cant cut in a straight line as is, it's even harder with the tulle slipping all around. But, the tutu came out really cute!!

...and I think my baby girl felt like a perfect little ballerina princess!!
